Bill Clinton To Urge US Businesses To Invest In Ireland07 February 2012 - Which Way to Pay Bill Clinton To Urge US Businesses To Invest In Ireland Former President Bill Clinton is to hold an event this week, “Invest In Ireland” to encourage business and economic leaders to invest in Ireland’s economic recovery. The discussion will take place on Thursday with Clinton attending the event and he is expected to make an opening statement. This is keeping with a commitment he made at the Global Irish Economic Forum late last year. Ireland’s Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister along with Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton will all be in attendance along with representatives of global businesses and current investors in Ireland. The Taoiseach’s office said the purpose of the event is, “to engage with key business and economic leaders, with a view to encourage those who haven’t already invested in Ireland’s economic recovery, to do so. The principal message to potential investors will be that Ireland is open for business and that now is the time to invest in our economic recovery.” There is expected to be talks throughout the forum on the progress Ireland is making considering the economic challenges it faces followed by a discussion on important Irish economy matters.
